Internal Sales Manager (Broker Introduced), Hampshire (with Hybrid Working)

Our client, with a strong position in funding broker-introduced business, is seeking a new internal sales manager. Looking for candidates currently working within a similar sales role with a proven track record of building and maintaining positive relationships with brokers. This is a fast paced, demanding role, managing a wide range of proposals but with a focus on financing hard-assets. You will pro-actively manage a mix of existing and new brokers, creating close relationships with key staff in maximising business opportunities. Keep regular contact with a defined list of brokers/introducers, establishing a robust strategy for each in order to deepen relations, including arranging face-to-face visits when beneficial. A targeted role, with quarterly bonuses, with you always chasing your deal pipeline to improve conversion rates. Work closely with and support external Sales colleagues. Work well with internal support functions including credit risk, especially when structuring more challenging deals to gain approval. Applicants likely to be living around Hampshire/Berkshire, though good hybrid working available.

Appetite for business across all asset classes (hard & soft), and active in both the smaller ticket flow market as well as high value structured transactions (including restructuring and refinance). Also, strong in high value car finance with plans for further expansion into other niche market sectors. Working within a team of four regionally based managers, responsible for management and oversight of new business development of existing brokers whilst also establishing new introducer relationships. A mixed focus on both SME flow volumes as well as a larger transactions pipeline. Attending client visits, pricing to risk, liaison with the asset management team, business due diligence, financial analysis, preparation of credit applications etc… So, the right individual must have a broad range of credit, structuring and documentation experience. Our client, European lessor, is currently seeking an experienced relationship manager to build and maintain excellent relationships with both new and existing vendor, dealer and broker partners to deliver best in class programme delivery whilst maximising volumes and profitability. The successful candidate is likely to have a minimum of 5 years previous experience in a similar field-based role. Knowledge of the materials handling, construction, transportation and engineering sectors preferred, with a strong understanding of supporting dealership/distributors. Requires someone with a significant degree of self-motivation and tenacity, in influencing customer decisions and empathising with such decisions. Ability to present, negotiate and develop close relationships whilst maintaining a clear focus on targeted objectives. Working in conjunction with sales support, internal account managers and Head of Sales. Good credit risk skills required to be able to present deals and manage challenges when required. Seeking an individual with a good knowledge and track record in this specific arena; involves creating new partnerships, whilst managing existing onboarded brokers with the full support from their dedicated internal sales and support teams. The successful candidate will thereby have a mix of new business and account management skills. A very proactive role, undertaking regular visits and attending relevant industry events. Focus on financing of “business critical assets”: Commercial Vehicles, Materials Handling, Construction, Machinery etc. Deals £100k/150k to £1-2 million. Particular focus and attention on identifying and closing finance opportunities originating from their large value resellers. Originating deals (eg. healthcare, education, energy) through a network of introducers, suppliers and direct customers. Project size can range from £500K to £15M. The right individual will have a proven track record of identifying  suitable sources of business (including the bringing onboard new introducers) and developing and maintaining lasting relationships to maximise business opportunities. With most being ongoing longer-term finance proposals it is important that candidates can show strong project and organisational skills.
